This policy explains what Better Homes (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Better Homes is a home-services referral and marketing company. We connect homeowners with independent, third-party contractors in their area. We do not perform roofing or solar installation work ourselves and are not responsible for the services provided by those contractors.
Information we collect
When you complete the form on this site, you provide:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The ZIP code of the property
- Whether you own the property
- The service you need, the type of project, and your timeline
- The day and time window you would like to be called
We also record technical information automatically: the campaign parameters in the link you arrived on (for example UTM tags and ad click identifiers), the page you landed on, the referring website, your IP address, and your browser’s user agent string. The IP address and user agent are stored with your submission as a record of the consent you gave.
How we use it
- To contact you about the project you told us about
- To connect you with an independent contractor who serves your area
- To schedule and confirm your call
- To measure which advertising campaigns bring us enquiries, so we know where to spend
- To detect and block spam and abuse of the form
Who we share it with
We share your details with the third-party contractor or contractors we connect you with, so they can contact you about your project. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf — our customer relationship management (CRM) system, our website host, and our scheduling provider. We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties.
Calls, texts and email
By submitting the form you agree that we and our service partners may contact you at the phone number and email address you provide, including by automated or prerecorded calls and by text message, about your project. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by telling us on a call, replying STOP to a text message, or using the unsubscribe link in an email.
Cookies and tracking
This site can run analytics and advertising tags — Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — when those are enabled by the site operator. They set cookies or similar identifiers used to measure advertising performance. Your browser settings can block them, and the form still works if you do.
We also store your campaign parameters in your browser’s session storage for the duration of your visit so that we can attribute your enquiry to the right campaign. That data is cleared when you close the tab.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry is stored in our CRM for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, including the record of the consent you gave.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — for example, California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Contact us using the details below and we will respond.
Children
This site is for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
